Andrea Cook joins Cossette

Andrea Cook joins Cossette as its SVP national client lead to take point on the agency’s CRM and Telus mobile business, following in the footsteps of her former Proximity president Dave Lafond, who joined Cossette back in September.

She spent the past four years at Proximity as its SVP managing director, where she worked with clients including Gillette global, Rogers, Bolthouse and Mars, and also led the digital work for Campbell’s North America, from web and social media to CRM and mobile innovation. Prior to Proximity, Cook worked at Grey Canada, Rapp DDB and Bensimon Byrne.

She joined Cossette back in November and will act as an agency resource for all clients where digital, CRM and data are the primary focus, according to a release.

“Andrea represents an important step forward in our goal to be the best in integrated communications,” said Brett Marchand, president and CEO of Cossette.

Cook’s Proximity exit follows a suite of other high-profile changes at the digital agency this fall, including the promotion of Tyler Turnbull to the role of president, and the exits of Lafond; Ricky Jacobs, former VP managing director, to Draftfcb; Josh Stein, former CD, to Tribal Worldwide; and Jeff Vermeersch, former director of creative technology, to Zulu Alpha Kilo.
