Andrew Barrett landed a new gig with Cisco Canada yesterday.
He’ll be using his expertise working with brands during previous Olympic Games to give the Premier Partner of the Pan/Parapan AM Games a competitive presence during the Toronto event next year.
As the new marketing lead, Barrett will help to activate and leverage the brand’s partnership through branding, hospitality, activation programs and more, he tells strategy.
Ron Dekker, VP corporate development at Cisco Systems Canada and executive lead for the Cisco Games team, added that “Andrew brings a broad and successful marketing profile to Cisco Canada. His unique experience with Molson and Samsung during the 2010 and 2012 Olympic Games will help us make the Toronto 2015 Pan/Parapan Am Games the most successful Canadian showcase of Cisco solutions ever.”
Barrett’s been busy on the consulting side since leaving Samsung as its VP of marketing almost a year ago. He spent the past few months with Canadian Tire, working as an associate VP of strategic marketing for multiple 2013 television campaigns. And he most recently led the charge on the company’s “Ice Truck” program.
