OneMethod hires an ACD

Laurent Abesdris will lead creative on various Nestle brands, including the recently-won Perrier.

Toronto-based digital shop OneMethod is expanding its creative leadership team, bringing on board Laurent Abesdris as associate creative director.

Abesdris, who joins from Sid Lee, where he was a senior copywriter, will lead creative on some of OneMethod’s Nestle Canada brands, including Perrier, Smarties and Rolo.

He will also be tasked with working with OneMethod’s junior creative teams and assisting in new business for the agency, according to a release.

The new hire comes after OneMethod, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Bensimon Byrne, recently picked up the digital and social media business for Perrier, along with S.Pellegrino, Nestle Pure Life and Nestle Pure Life Sparkling, adding to the Nestle confectionery brands it won in 2013.

At Sid Lee, Abesdris worked on PC Financial, Moosehead, Stride and Mark’s Work Wearhouse. Prior to that, he worked at Juniper Park, Taxi and Cossette, having his work recognized at One Show, D&AD and ADC internationally, as well as nationally.
