Match Marketing names new SVP

The firm is entering a growth phase, promoting former VP of strategy and business development Greg McDonald.

execMatch Marketing Group is gearing up for a growth phase.

To prepare, it’s decided to strengthen the executive team by promoting Greg McDonald to the SVP position, and with this move, the company has also given its managing partner, Chris DiFonzo, the role of liaison between managing partners in the U.S. and Canada.

McDonald (pictured left) joined the company last year as its VP of strategy and business development. In that position, he oversaw the operations of Match’s promotions, digital and social practices, along with DiFonzo.

DiFonzo will continue to oversee these operations, in addition to working with the company’s partners to optimize its North America strategy and marketing services, according to a release.

“Greg’s appointment and the new [responsibilities] for Chris signifies the next step in the evolution of Match as we continue to add new capabilities and geographic reach,” said Brett Farren, president and CEO of Match.
