Shelagh Stoneham will be joining Shoppers Drug Mart as its new SVP, marketing, effective Sept. 29, a spokesperson for the retailer confirmed this morning.

Stoneham, who has worked with both brands and agencies, last worked at Rogers Communications as  its SVP and general manager, brands and marketing communications. Prior to Rogers, she was SVP, executive managing director at BBDO Canada and she also previously held the role of marketing director at PepsiCo Restaurants of Canada.

Walmart Canada’s EVP, marketing, Sandra Sanderson, held the title of SVP, marketing for Shoppers until August 2013. Chong Bang, SVP merchandising and marketing, had taken over the position while the retailer looked for a replacement.
