Canadian Blood Services has chosen One Advertising to help it on its mission of convincing more Canadians to give the “gift of life.”
One has been tasked with improving and expanding the non-profit’s advertising capabilities, putting a focus on donor recruitment and retention. The non-profit’s role is to manage the supply of blood and blood products for Canadians, and it also oversees the OneMatch stem cell and marrow network, the National Public Cord Blood Bank, as well as promotes organ and tissue donation and transplantation.
“This is meaningful, important work and we’re very proud to be part of it,” Jill King, president of One Advertising, said in a statement. “We look forward to working together to increase Canadians’ understanding of the various ways they can help. ”
On Tuesday, CBS made an appeal to the public for all eligible donors to donate immediately. It says extremely low attendance at blood donor clinics across the country has created the lowest national blood inventory since 2008.
