Toronto-based digital interactive agency Secret Location is expanding its U.S. operations by opening a Los Angeles office.
The new U.S. office, which opened Dec. 1, will focus on the agency’s clients there and original productions. Most recently, the agency partnered with production company VRSE.Works to expand its virtual reality offerings for its clients, including Samsung, Cadbury and Focus Features.
The agency’s other U.S. credits include creating a virtual reality experience using Oculus Rift technology for Fox’s Sleepy Hollow series, and a custom-shot interactive episode created for the series premiere of NBC’s The Blacklist.
Last May, Entertainment One also made an equity investment in the agency.
Eric Shamlin, most recently executive creative producer for Swedish producer Stopp and former Apple product developer, will be VP, managing director and executive producer of the LA satellite office. Shamlin will oversee efforts to serve U.S.-based client like Focus Features, Frontline on PBS, Entertainment One Music and Red Bull Media House, while developing original productions.
