Publicis Montreal has hired a new CD, bringing Francois Vaillancourt into the agency.
Vaillancourt will be leading the creative for Publicis Montreal clients Rogers, Chrysler Canada and Canada Post.
Vaillancourt had been working freelance with agencies in Quebec since November 2013 when he left what was then Palm+Havas (now Havas Worldwide). He spent over two years there as CD, working primarily on the Via Rail account, as well as Loblaws and Volkswagen. Vaillancourt joined Palm+Havas after an eight-month stint at FCB Montreal, which followed an almost six-year term at Ogilvy Montreal.
Last December, Publicis Montreal merged with BCP, which saw co-CD Carl Robichaud add VP to his title, joining Nicholas Massey.
A month ago, Publicis Groupe received approval to acquire Sapient.
