TrojanOne hires new VP of consumer engagement

Toronto agency TrojanOne has hired Rebecca Shanks as its new VP of consumer engagement.

Shanks was most recently senior marketing manager of integrated communications at Coca-Cola. In her new role at TrojanOne, she will lead the agency’s account management teams.

Shanks has 15 years of industry experience, including working as an account director at TrojanOne from 2003 to 2005. She was with Coca-Cola for 10 years, working in customer marketing, marketing assets and commercial strategy. While there, she also led various integrated marketing communications programs, such as working with the Olympic Games, FIFA World Cup and NHL teams.

TrojanOne says the hire comes as it has seen organic and new business growth on accounts including Air Miles, Dr. Oetker and Dairy Farmers of Canada. The agency has nine consumer engagement teams that Shanks will help lead alongside long-time VP of consumer engagement Imran Choudry.

“Rebecca’s extensive experience driving sponsorship strategy, shopper marketing and digital programs makes her a huge asset not only to our consumer engagement team, but the agency as a whole,” Mark Harrison, the agency’s president and CEO, said in a press release. “We need more leaders that can help bridge the digital and experiential worlds.”
