How to hack a pantyliner

Carefree's social contest gets people to spill the beans on how they use the feminine product in innovative ways.

We all know the tampon-to-stop-a-nosebleed trick (if you haven’t tried it, you should), but what of the underrated pantyliner?

Edgewell brand Carefree Canada has created a social media contest that shows off all kinds of uses for its feminine products.

“#CarefreeContest,” which runs until Aug. 21, asks Twitter users to share their hacks using the product for a chance to win prizes (such as Carefree and Stayfree products, tote bags and candles). A grand prize package includes a $1,000 prepaid gift card. For example, one user shared how they stop olive oil drips with a strategically-placed liner (top marks for the person who created the pantyliner floor sweeper below).

The contest has been getting some help from bloggers like Nancy Polanco, “Simply Stacie” and “Ginger Mommy.”

It also includes other weekly questions that Twitter users can answer for a chance at a prize.
