DS+P has begun the year with the announcement of six new hires in Toronto.

The agency’s creative department has added the team of copywriter Kelly Finnamore and art director Matt Camara. The pair comes from Juniper Park\TBWA, which they joined in August from Lowe Roche. Camara had been at Lowe Roche since 2011, and was joined by Finnamore in 2014 after stints at Saatchi & Saatchi and CP+B in Colorado.

The creative department has also added art director Eric Cicero, who has previously been at Innocean and Proximity, as well as the junior creative team of copywriter Cara Lau, who comes off an internship at Sid Lee, and art director Crystal Brewis, previously a freelancer and junior art director at Open.

On the client service side, Alison Opie has been hired as group account director, joining DS+P in October. Opie was last at Y&R, which she joined in October 2014 after three years as advertising and global brand manager at TD. Prior to going client side, she had lengthy stints at BBDO and Grey.

Doug Robinson, founding partner at DS+P, says the hires are mostly in response to winning business from the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care in the fall, as well as added work from existing clients. Cicero, during his time at Proximity, had worked on the Ministry’s “Quit the Denial” campaign.
