MacLaren McCann has made seven recent hires across departments, including a new VP and several additions to its experiential division.
Patrick O’Donovan has been hired as VP and group account director. O’Donovan joins after just over a year at The&Partnership and nearly 10 at Taxi, during which he was group account director and lead on accounts including Telus, Burger King, Tylenol, Listerine and Motrin.
Leading the hires in the creative department is senior art director Rob Trickey. Trickey has spent the past five years at Grey Canada, where he worked on the agency’s award-winning “Groceries Not Guns” campaign for Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, as well as P&G and Volvo. Trickey has also had stints at Leo Burnett and John St.
MacLaren has also added the team of copywriter Binoy Zuzarte and art director Nick Noh, joining after more than two years at OgilvyOne, where they worked with clients including Dove, Tim Horton’s, IBM and American Express.
The remaining three additions are at MacLaren Momentum, the agency’s experiential division, led by new head of event production Laura Boshell. Boshell spent the last year at GMR as director of event production, having previously been a producer at events for Samsung, Nike, London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Microsoft, Nissan and CBC, among others.
Joining the client service team at Momentum are account director Sandra Renwick, previously a freelance event producer in Australia and Canada, and account supervisor Francesca Noto, also joining from GMR.
