Taxi names new planning leadership

Taxi has added to its strategy leadership, promoting Christine Maw to VP and head of strategic planning in Toronto.

In her new role, Maw will oversee the office’s team of brand planners and co-lead its planning department with Sean McDonald, VP and head of communications planning.

Prior to joining Taxi in 2013, Maw had planning roles at TBWA\Toronto, Zig (now Union) and Cossette, as well as lengthy stints as an independent strategy consultant.

Earlier this week, it was announced Mark Tomblin, Taxi’s chief strategy officer, would be leaving Cossette for Juniper Park\TBWA. Taxi’s planning leads in each of its offices, which include Jack Dayan in Vancouver and Elisabeth Jamot in Montreal, in addition to Maw and McDonald, will be working together to lead the shop’s offering following Tomblin’s departure.

Last month, Daniel Shearer, general manager of Taxi 2, left to join Cossette as EVP and general manager of its Toronto office. A search for his replacement at Taxi 2 is ongoing.
