Matthew May has taken the role, which was left vacant earlier this year by Chris Davies, now ECD at Traffik.

Joseph Peters, chief strategy officer at Hill + Knowlton, says May’s “digital acumen” is part of what makes him strong for the role.

May was most recently digital creative lead at Real Interactive, where he was for five years. Prior to that, he held senior art director positions at DraftFCB and MacLaren MRM. He has worked with clients including the Virgin Group of Companies, General Motors and Energizer.

Davies held the national CD role since March 2014 and was the first creative director at Hill + Knowlton when the PR shop began building out that department, in addition to focusing on social and digital.

Hill + Knowlton’s in-house creative team is now around 15 people, made up of copywriters, art directors, web developers, UX experts, graphic designers and content strategists.
