Toronto’s Camp Jefferson has named Guybrush Taylor as its new executive creative director.
Taylor returns home to Canada after eight years working abroad, beginning at Droga5 Sydney as a senior art director and later at Leo Burnett Chicago, where he was VP, director of possibilities (leading the shop’s innovation and new business departments). Here in Canada, he has also held art director positions with Taxi, Taxi 2, Cossette and TBWA\Chiat\Day.
Taylor takes the role left vacant by Paul Little, who left the agency in the spring.
The announcement comes as Camp Jefferson has picked up an AOR win for a yet-to-be-announced automotive client.
In July, the agency also brought on a new head of planning, hiring Doug Potwin for the role.
Camp Jefferson, previously Dare Toronto, is part of the Camps Collective division of Vision7, which also includes Camp Pacific in Vancouver. The Toronto agency’s clients include Coca-Cola, NHL, Koodo Mobile, Bioré, Freedom 55 Financial and HelloLife, among others.
