Check it out: A campaign that checks your bias

OOH ads in Toronto tackle biases against the black community.

Racism can take many forms but it isn’t always obvious or acknowledged, something the City of Toronto and Ontario Council of Agencies Serving Immigrants is hoping to shine a light on.

A new anti-racism campaign, led by Public Inc., focuses on the biases and racism specifically that black Torontonians often face in all aspects of social, political and economic life in the city.

To spark a conversation around that issue, the month-long campaign includes ads running on bus shelters and TTC digital displays across the city, centred on two major issues: racism in employment and housing. It also includes social media (both paid and organic on Facebook and Twitter), influencer outreach and activations, as well as earned media.

The campaign drives to, a website with more information about how to take action and resources about the issue.
