Montreal agency Brad has appointed Hugues Morin as creative director of its Montreal office.
Morin (pictured, centre) has over 15 years experience in the industry, having previously worked for Mecano and Taxi. He joined Brad in 2015 and was named creative director of the agency’s interactive online division in June.
Morin will take on new responsibilities on the agency’s traditional advertising side, while continuing his work with its interactive division. He will answer to Coppens, who is also based in Montreal.
The move follows a growth in business for the agency, says Carle Coppens, VP and ECD at Brad. In February, Brad was awarded the North American portion of Volvo Group’s Prevost and Nova Bus accounts after a review. It has also won the business of laxative brand Lax-A-Day and of flight-booking app Hopper in recent months.
Coppens estimates the agency now has 45 employees in its Montreal office, with another 20 or so in Quebec.
As part of the changes, Brad has also added a new creative team consisting of creative lead Alexandre Émond-Turcotte and art director Mathieu Lacombe. Previously, Turcotte worked for Bleublancrouge, Cossette, and Taxi, and Lacombe worked for Y&R and Taxi. Together, they will be working primarily on the Lax-A-Day account.
