Engine Digital has made hires on the heels of having relocated its Vancouver headquarters.
The digital consultancy, which also has an office in New York, has added two members to the team of VP of delivery Andrea Mead’s team. Emma Lyon, previously from the U.K., where she held creative producer roles at Net-A-Porter and Dazed Media, joins Engine as a producer. Michael Winer takes on the same position, having held a similar role at Invoke.
In addition, Tim Wernke (formerly from accounting software company Xero) joins the agency as a full-stack engineer and Bradley Low (from Jukebox print) as a front-end engineer. They will both report to Kele Nakamura, Engine’s chief technology officer.
Finally, Engine has added Pansy Hui as a designer and Margarita Sison as an officer administrator on the operations team. Hui started out at IBM and previously held design roles at Hypebeast and Major Tom.
The hires follow Engine’s move out of Vancouver’s downtown core and into the tech-focused neighbourhood of Mount Pleasant and bring its total headcount to 30 full-time employees across its strategy, design and technology teams.
In recent months, the shop has made a number of senior hires and promotions to grow its service offering, including naming Ehren Graber as director of technology and Greg Ryder as associate director of delivery. In May, it appointed Brittany Houweling as manager of client strategy. That hire followed the naming of James Richardson as its first COO in February.
The agency currently counts HP, Mastercard, Coast Capital Savings, TuGo, Rocky Mountaineer, Fox Factory, BC Hydro, 3form and Loloi Rugs among its client roster.
