Blue Noise names Yasmin Sahni as ECD

Blue Noise Studios has appointed new creative leadership, naming Yasmin Sahni as ECD.

Sahni is a recognized creative leader and mentor, bringing more than a decade of senior creative leadership experience into the role. Most recently, she led creative at Naked Creative Consultancy, however Sahni has also held similar roles at GTB and Vice Media (as well as its in-house ad agency, Virtue). In addition to these roles, she has taught at George Brown College’s School of Design.

The move to Blue Noise – the creative and design agency owned by Toronto Star parent company Torstar – reunites Sahni with Scott Walker, the agency’s managing director, who worked with her at Vice Media and Virtue. She will also work alongside Tim Beech, Blue Noise’s media lead, who joined the agency in May of last year.

“Yas is a brilliant creator, leader and mentor. Her talent and attention will be a huge asset to our clients and the team,” Walker says. “During our time at Vice/Virtue, we collaborated on an incredible amount of industry-defining work; I look forward to where we take things.”

Sahni replaces outgoing ECD Kendra Schumacher, who has moved to Art & Science. She will work with the agency across its portfolio of clients, which include HearingLife Canada, Sporting Life, Golf Town, RBC, Toronto Star and Kingsdale Advisors.
