GM global marketing chief to retire

Deborah Wahl, global marketing chief at General Motors, has announced she’ll retire at the end of March.

During her time with GM, she was tasked with developing the company’s messaging strategy for pivoting from gas-powered vehicles to electric.

Wahl held the role since 2019, and previously held the title of CMO for Cadillac, coming from a long line of additional marketing roles in the auto industry, namely, with Chrysler, Lexus, Toyota and more.

Skip CEO taking over at GrubHub

Howard Migdal, current CEO of SkipTheDishes, has been appointed EVP North America and CEO of GrubHub, replacing former CEO Adam DeWitt. DeWitt will remain with the company until May 1 to ensure a smooth transition.

Migdal played a critical role in the growth and scale of SkipTheDishes, solidifying it as Canada’s largest food delivery network.

Steve Puchala, SVP growth and restaurant success at SkipTheDishes, will act as interim CEO and report to Migdal in the meantime.

Mazda North America names new CEO

Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) has announced that Tom Donnelly, currently SVP retail operations, has been appointed president and CEO. Donnelly’s appointment will be effective as of Apr. 1.

Jeff Guyton, currently MNAO’s president and CEO, will become Mazda Motor Corporation’s CFO and a representative director of the company based in Hiroshima, Japan.
