Sid Lee names Kristian Manchester its global CCO

Sid Lee has named industry vet Kristian Manchester as its new global chief creative officer.

In the role, Manchester will look to drive the creative impact of Sid Lee’s offices worldwide, as well as at Digital Kitchen, Yard, Bimm and Haigo.

He will report to Sid Lee’s co-founder and global CEO Philippe Meunier, with whom he’s worked for more than 20 years, and who says that Manchester “embodies the essence of Sid Lee and has always been a driving force for our culture by pushing our creative edge.”

Among his missions is to work closely with Canadian teams to “strengthen the creative force by building on the collective to become a world class powerhouse.” He will work towards that goal with Martin Gauthier, who Sid Lee named its first CEO in Canada last fall.

Manchester joined Sid Lee in 2001, and has been instrumental in building the company’s international creative reputation. As its ECD, he earned awards and worldwide recognition and played a pivotal role in Cirque du Soleil’s global expansion. Manchester also helped brands shape culture through campaigns including Adidas’ “House Party” and “Walls are Meant for Climbing” by The North Face.

More recently, he supported clients like Rogers, Havana Club, Netflix, Ubisoft and Belairdirect.
