In its capacity as the festival’s Canadian country representative, The Globe and Mail has revealed the Canadian members of the Awarding Juries at the 2023 Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity.
Joining Nancy Crimi-Lamanna, CCO at FCB Canada, who was previously announced as jury president for the Creative Commerce Lions in January, are nine agency leaders and one marketer who will evaluate and award work alongside other members of their juries from around the world. Members of the shortlist juries, who assist in narrowing down the volume of entries, will be announced in the near future.
This year’s Canadian jurors are:

Creative Effectiveness: Tyler Turnbull, global CEO, FCB Worldwide
Creative Strategy: Jay Chaney, chief strategy officer, founder, Broken Heart Love Affair
Design: Leia Rogers, ECD, partner, Rethink
Digital Craft: Kate Bate, chief operating officer, Tendril Design & Forever Co
Health & Wellness: Neill Brown, president, IPG Health Canada
PR: Andrew Simon, global creative director, Edelman
Social & Influencer: Brent Choi, CEO, Angry Butterfly
Film: Jordan Doucette, CCO, Dentsu Creative
Entertainment Lions for Sport: Susan Irving, CMO, Kruger Products
Juries are selected by Cannes Lions based on input and suggestions from the festival’s country representatives. In Canada, The Globe and Mail has been Canada’s representative since 2005, making its selections in consultation with the Canadian Cannes Advisory Board.
The final deadline for entries to the 2023 Cannes Lions is on April 13. This year’s festival is scheduled to take place from June 19 to 23.
