Media Profile wins PR AOR duties for Endy

DTC mattress brand Endy has made another addition to its agency roster, picking Media Profile as its new PR AOR, after a competitive pitch process.

The agency has been tasked with creating public relations programs that heighten awareness for the brand’s entire product portfolio, including mattresses, pillows, bedframes and sheets. Christina
Sfeir, Endy’s director of PR and strategic communications, said Media Profile stood out from the other agencies due to its creative thinking, understanding of the media and influencer landscape and long-standing client relationships with consumer brands. Media Profile’s client portfolio includes The Home Depot Canada, Honda, Indigo, Dairy Queen, Arterra Wines and Starbucks Canada.

In March, Endy picked The Hive as its new agency partner on creative and strategy. Internally, it hired Julia Cooper as its new VP of marketing last week.

FoodHero names a CMO

Laurence Gagnon Beaudoin is the new CMO for FoodHero, an app that connects food merchants to consumers to quickly sell surplus fresh food. The company’s grocer partners include IGA, Metro, Rachelle-Béry and Marché Tradition.

For the last four years, Gagnon Beaudoin held the role of CMO and chief experience officer for Montreal meal-kit brand CookIt.

Bob to lead shopper program for cider producers in Quebec

Bob has picked up work with Les Producteurs de cidre du Québec in the development and execution of the organization’s partnership with Metro in preparation for Cider Week, which will take place May 4 to 14.

The agency will be responsible for shopper marketing programs that promotes the association’s activity directly with consumers and ensures that cider occupies a prominent place among consumption preferences of Quebeckers in anticipation of the spring season. The assignment was won jointly with Oui l’agence, which will be in charge of influence marketing and media strategy on social platforms.

A tasting campaign is happening on May 5 in ten Metro locations in the greater Montreal area, with content partnerships activated with K pour Katrine and Folks and Forks.

Skip adds to its senior marketing team

Kelsey Lee is moving into a new role as senior manager of marketing for growth verticals and market development at SkipTheDishes.

In her prior role as manager, growth and product marketing with Skip, she led the growth and product marketing strategy for new verticals and product adjacencies including the launch of Skip Express Lane, Skip’s entry into grocery and convenience delivery via dark stores. Before joining SkipTheDishes in 2021, Lee was senior product marketing manager, SmartHome Security at Telus.
