That’s a shortlist wrap, folks. The final contenders were released to the public Wednesday morning in Cannes, and four more Canadian agencies have a shot at going home with Lions-packed suitcases.
Cossette Montreal, Taxi Montreal, Performance Art and Citizen Relations all stood out in the Sustainable Development Goals Lions jury room. Today’s nominations bring Canada’s shortlist total to 203.
The agencies were each nominated once for campaigns or initiatives that covered the sustainability gamut. Only the best work that used creative problem solving to positively impact the world and, furthermore, contribute or advance the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development across people, planet, prosperity, peace and partnerships were picked. There was a total of 73 nominations, out of 691 entries around the world, 16 from Canada.
The SDG Lions will be unveiled on Friday. At tonight’s show, the Creative B2B, Creative Data, Direct Lions, Media, PR and Social & Influencer Lions will be revealed at the evening gala in Cannes. Tomorrow, the judges will announce winners in Creative Business Transformation, Creative Commerce, Creative Effectiveness, Creative Strategy, Brand Experience & Activation, Innovation and Mobile.
