The Local Collective hires two ECDs

Toronto independent agency The Local Collective has made two fresh additions to its creative leadership team by hiring Josh Day and Caitlin Keeley as executive creative directors for advertising.

Day and Keeley join The Local Collective with a wealth of creative experience, most recently at Dentsu Creative, where they had also held ECD roles.

The pair have long been a creative duo – “having spent approximately one million hours together,” Keeley jokes – and have worked on a wide range of clients that include major brands such as Amex, Lexus, Subway, Arterra, BDO, Saputo and Brita.

Their work is known for its comedic touch, and has spanned media including art, podcasts, music videos, short film and advertisements.

At The Local Collective, they’ll form a creative leadership team with Omar Morson, executive creative director for design, who joined the agency this past September.

“We’ve had an exciting year and have spent months looking for the right duo to step into these roles, needing to find people that echoed the company’s future,” says Matt Litzinger, founder and CCO of the agency. “Caitlin and Josh were those two people. They bring such a unique perspective to their work.”
