Full Punch recruits two senior leaders

Western Canadian agency Full Punch has added senior talent in response to the agency’s growth, hiring Kyle Darbyson as its creative director and Katie Lynn as group brand director.

Darbyson, who joins the agency from Akcelo, brings more than a decade of agency experience into the role. He has worked on clients including TikTok, Telus and McDonald’s, and in roles spanning traditional advertising, social, CRM and long format.

Lynn, meanwhile, is joining Full Punch from Cossette and brings a mix of agency and client-side experience to her new role. At Cossette, she led some of the agency’s Telus business, as well as WorkSafeBC, Coast Capital Savings and TransLink.

The hires will help cement the agency’s leadership structure while providing greater depth and expertise to serve Full Punch’s roster of clients, according to Mike Leslie, founding partner and president.

“We’re at a lovely inflection point for the agency,” adds Chris Zawada, founding partner and head of creative. “We’ve seen a lot of organic and new business and this is the perfect time to start building out new senior leadership to build on our strong foundation and continue delivering the best creative work for our clients.”

The additions come on the heels of three other hires and a promotion back in May. Both these hires and the previous ones have been made to service an expanding remit with Northland Properties, as well as new work with Canfor, Coast Spas, Conexus Credit Union, Metropolitan Floors and, most recently, Parq Vancouver, Leslie says.
