Telus promotes Quebec marketer
Telus’ Nathalie Dionne has been promoted to regional vice-president, marketing for Quebec. Her team mandate will be to promote Telus’ mission by leveraging technology and boosting the company’s profile in the province.
She is formerly the telco brand’s interim VP, home solutions and customer experience for Quebec.
Nestlé promotes its head of coffee brands
Nestlé’s board of directors is promoting David Rennie, head of Nestlé coffee brands and a member of the executive board of Nestlé S.A., to executive vice president, effective January 1, 2024.
The elevation of the role, the company says, reflects the growing strategic importance of its coffee brands, Nescafé, Nespresso and Starbucks, as one of Nestlé’s growth pillars.
Rennie has further strengthened Nestlé’s leadership position in coffee, driving profitable growth, strategic partnerships and market share.
In its latest summer earnings call, the company shared that “coffee saw high single-digit growth, with positive sales developments across brands and a continued recovery for out-of-home channels.” It also noted that it saw “particular strength for Nescafé soluble coffee.”
The CPG has approximately 22% global market share of the coffee category, a USD $100 billion dollar-plus business.
Eataly announces CEO of its North American division
Eataly has named Tommaso Brusò as the new CEO of its North America division.
Most recently Brusò served as group CEO of sustainable clothing brand Colorful Standard. Prior to that, Brusò was global chief operating officer for Benetton Group.
The Italian shopping marketplace brought its “slow food movement” to Canada in 2019. The Bologna-based company says its “aggressive” growth plans include 20 new locations over the next five years.
