Candybox, which has offices in the GTA and Halifax, boasts a client roster of approximately 100, including BeaverTails, Church & Dwight, Delta Bingo and Gaming, and Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa, and has 45 full-time employees.

“As one of Canada’s fastest-growing companies, we’re excited for [Markou] to bring his innovative leadership style to our expanding creative team,” says Darrell Keezer, Candybox’s CEO and founder.

Markou will be joining Candybox’s Oakville location.

In just over a year with the shop, Markou garnered the agency’s first national recognition with a CMA and an Applied Arts Design Award for its “Call For No Entries” campaign lampooning the ACE Awards.

His work has been recognized at Cannes Lions, Clios, Communication Arts, D&AD, The One Show and Effies.
