Experiential marketing firm Astound Group adds a VP
Mark Scattalon is starting a new position as VP of strategy and ideation at Astound Group.
Astound is an experience design studio based in Burlington, Ontario and Las Vegas, which has worked with brands like Mattel, Nike and Lego.
Scattalon is owner and CEO of Fruitboowl, a demand generation and customer acquisition creative platform.
He cites his specialization as sports entertainment, automotive, beer, spirits and wine, cannabis and CPG shopper marketing.
Since 2020, Scattalon has served as a strategic advisor at Shelfgram, a CPG insights platform, and was previously at Marks (SGS and Co.), as director of NBD implementation and digital.
Cybersecurity firm GoSecure promotes its VP to CMO
GoSecure, the cybersecurity firm based in San Diego and Montreal, has promoted Anne-Marie Faber to CMO.
The Laval MBA grad has over 15 years of experience in the IT industry, and is the brand’s former VP of marketing.
“[She] brings to the table not just immense knowledge, but also an enthusiasm and a pragmatic approach that aligns seamlessly with GoSecure’s mission,” says company CEO Neal Creighton. “Her ascension to the CMO role stands as a reflection of our commitment to continuously evolving, staying ahead of the curve and delivering unparalleled value to our stakeholders and clients.”
Faber began her career as an account manager at L’Oréal in Quebec.

Publicis Canada, the full service comms agency, is strengthening its relationship with Braze, the customer engagement platform, and becoming a premium partner within the Braze Alloys Partner Program.

Demand Spring, the revenue marketing consultancy based in Ottawa and Boston, says its new managed services offering will give organizations access to its experts and will help streamline and optimize campaign workflows.
Managed services specializations include campaign development and management, marketing operations, campaign execution support and campaign optimization.

The agency’s new beauty roster now includes Bondi Sands, the tanning, sun care and skincare brand; Function of Beauty, the customizable hair, skin and body brand; Aman Spa; and Carol’s Daughter, the natural haircare brand.
The mandate for PR in Canada includes brand awareness initiatives with a focus on influencer and media relations, events and consumer-facing tactics.
The agency also announced PR AOR work representing Somewhere Inn, a boutique hotel in the Ottawa Valley region.
