Industry veteran Alyssa Huggins is joining health, wellness, and food and beverage sector specialist Believeco as president of its marketing division.
Huggins was most recently Cossette’s senior vice president and general manager, a position she held for more than two years, and where she was brought on board to handle the Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) account.
Prior to joining the Montreal and Toronto-based agency, Huggins was VP of brand and integrated marketing for the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, joining the team in 2019. Before holding that role, she worked as Pizza Pizza’s VP of marketing.
“[Huggins] is a highly skilled leader with a dynamic background,” says Arlene Dickinson, executive chair at Calgary-based Believeco partners, which includes six indie shops consolidated by the Dragons’ Den personality last year, and which offer a full suite of marketing, PR and branding services.
“She has a deep understanding of the needs of the business leaders we serve. Her North American experience will be of great value as we continue to scale Believeco.”
Believeco recently handled creative and media buying duties in support of coffee brand Balzac’s 30th anniversary. It also helped support the rebrand of Toronto life, credit, accident and sickness insurers Canadian Premier Life and Canadian Premier General to, Securian Canada.
