Tim Jones tapped as ECD for Klick Health’s London office

Tim Jones, a recipient of 20 Cannes Lions and 44 Clio awards, has joined Klick Health as executive creative director to lead its London-based EMEA creative team as part of the independent Toronto-headquartered agency’s global expansion that was announced in 2022.

“It was the easiest decision I’ve ever made in my creative career,” says Jones, explaining how the opportunity to work with Klick chief creative officer Rich Levy and his team, whose work he admires, aligned with the timing of his return home to the UK from his most recent base in New York. Klick Health, an independent health and life sciences agency, has racked up mainstream awards with its work in the health and wellness space.

Levy says hiring Jones is the final piece in Klick’s leadership team in London, which means he can start building out the creative team and making hires. Levy explains that the composition of the creative team won’t be traditional, and will include storytellers who embrace AI and approach problem-solving in new ways. In his new role, Jones says he will tap into Klick Labs, the tech-driven arm of the agency, and use “the scientifically-validated technologies and advancements in a creative way.”

In his role, Jones will have access to resources from the Toronto office as well as its offices throughout North America. Klick Health has locations in New York, Philadelphia, São Paulo and Singapore.

“Being an extension of a Canadian-owned company – big, strong and creatively different – we’ll keep all those core values and of course, build upon them in the UK,” Jones says. “We’re hoping to mimic the incredible Canadian vibes.”

Jones and his teams created the “The Most Beautiful Sound” campaign for the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), which captured the sound of real cancer cells dying; and “The Unfinished Votes” for Change the Ref, which used AI to encourage young voter registration in support of gun-safety measures. Klick, meanwhile, had a banner year in 2023, winning 160 top creative honours and seven agency distinctions, including Clio Health Independent Agency of the Year, London International Awards’ Global and North American Independent Health Agency of the Year.

Jones’ many top honours include helping two agencies win Cannes Lions “Health Agency of the Year.”

The move marks Jones’ return to the UK after serving in senior creative roles at health agencies in New York throughout the past five years. Most recently, Jones served as chief creative officer of pharma at Grey Group, and EVP and executive creative director at McCann Health New York. Previously, he was creative director at Havas Lynx Europe in Manchester. Before turning his focus to health, he spent the early part of his career working in the CPG sector in South Africa.
