Klick names an EVP of Generative AI
Simon Smith is rejoining Klick as its EVP of generative AI. Smith previously worked at Klick from 2012 to 2017, moving up to the role of SVP of strategy in 2016.
Smith has spent more than six years in marketing, strategic and technical roles related to AI for biomedical research and design. For more than a year, he has explored generative AI’s potential to help scientists with research.
According to a LinkedIn post, Smith’s role is about helping pharma and biotech companies leverage generative AI for commercial activities.
Prior to this position, Smith was R&D engineer and CMO for Toronto-based machine learning and AI company, BenchSci,
As member of the senior leadership team, Smith’s responsibilities encompassed go-to-market and culture marketing and communications activities. He also built and led the department responsible for field marketing, product marketing, growth marketing, communications, creative, and events and established marketing infrastructure, including marketing automation platform, and core paid, earned, shared, and owned channels.
XMC appoints Brittany Lengauer as partner
After joining sponsorship and experiential marketing agency XMC in 2017, Brittany Lengauer (pictured, right) has been named a partner of the agency.
Lengauer first joined XMC as a manager, spearheading the development of various client campaigns encompassing traditional experiential programming, national sponsorship strategy and negotiation, as well as local community investment initiatives. Her most recent titles were associate VP and VP.
Steven Lewis, co-founder of XMC, whose recent work includes helping Home Hardware pay tribute to a music festival, says that Lengauer has developed highly successful sponsorship and experiential marketing campaigns, gained the trust of C-Suite executives and inspired top-performing XMC colleagues.
Lengauer previously worked at IMG, where she contributed to Canada Soccer’s national grassroots programming and national team partner initiatives. In 2011, she transitioned to GMR Marketing, working in sponsorship strategy, program management and creating impactful consumer experiences across diverse client portfolios. She played a pivotal role in P&G’s Olympic campaigns for the London 2012, Sochi 2014 and Rio 2016 Games.
Performance Art SVP of strategy, departs
Scott Suthren has parted ways with Performance Art in December, as per a LinkedIn post.
Prior to his role at Performance Art, Suthrn also worked as VP of strategy with FCB/Six, as VP of planning with Cheil Canada and as director of strategic planning for Innocean.
