Krystin Lee is president of Talk Shop Media nationally

Full service communications agency Talk Shop has appointed Krystin Lee as its new president, effective immediately.

Previously the company’s VP of digital, Lee has now taken on a national leadership role for the Vancouver- and Toronto-based shop, which recently announced stateside expansion into Los Angeles.

Lee will report to Talk Shop Media’s managing partner, Katie Stevens. She will also continue to oversee the digital division while taking on an executive leadership of Talk Shop Toronto, and leading the migration of Talk Shop into an integrated agency.

The company bills itself as a full-service integrated communications agency with expertise in public relations, social media, digital marketing, influencer relations, branding and creative execution.

The Lee appointment, the agency says in a release, “reflects Talk Shop’s growth, the significance of executive leadership on both coasts and our continued transition into an integrated agency.”

Lee has been instrumental in driving Talk Shop’s success throughout the past five years. The agency, a specialist in tech, real estate, lifestyle brands and nonprofits, was recently chosen by social network, Nextdoor, to lead PR and creative campaign efforts for the company’s Canadian arm.

Last summer, Fintech brand Neo Financial named Talk Shop as its PR agency of record, responsible for driving its brand visibility and market positioning. The agency’s other notable businesses include PR efforts for Montreal casual dining player Foodtastic’s Freshii, Milestones, Quesada, Pita Pit and Second Cup businesses. The agency’s work on Milestones and Freshii covers the brands’ digital efforts, including strategic planning, social media management and content creation. Talk Shop Media also works with real estate companies Morguard and Fitzrovia.

The full-service agency was founded in Vancouver in 2011. Its second head office opened in Toronto in 2019. It has a team of more than 60 employees.
