1Milk2Sugars is appointing Ruth Goudie to the role of president and partner.

Goudie becomes the first person outside of founder Priya Chopra to work as the PR agency’s president. Since joining the its Toronto office in 2017, Goudie has played a pivotal role in 1Milk2Sugars’ success, overseeing the agency’s more than 300% business revenue growth, its expansion into new marketing verticals and a fivefold increase in employee headcount to service its growing client roster that boasts the likes of 2023 Brand of the Year Decathlon, Beiersdorf, Keurig Dr. Pepper and Natursource.

Working in close collaboration with creative director and partner Emma Cusson, Goudie has led the agency in servicing dozens of new client accounts, including notable recent wins like LensCrafters and Marriott, while promoting from within and adding multiple roles in such specialties as strategy, influencer and UGC campaign management.

The agency is entering its 12th year and has expanded into diverse category verticals including food and beverage, home improvement, and health and wellness.

Goudie’s promotion paves the way for Chopra to assume the full-time role of CEO, while also nurturing the growth of its sister agency Double Shot which Chopra founded in 2020, with a mission to amplify and uplift influencers of colour.

Bolstering the new leadership structure, Amber Meredith has been named to the newly created role of chief strategy officer – North America, based out of New York City. In this role, she will support 1Milk2Sugars’ business development, market advancement and operational transformation.

Spider teams up with Gateway Services

Blackjet’s Spider Marketing has won the business for North American pet aftercare provider, Gateway Services, following a three-agency competitive pitch.

Spider says it was selected based on the breadth of creative marketing expertise the shop brought to the business, and for its business model.

“This win and the work done to date with Gateway is a testament to Blackjet’s integrated model and Spider’s place in our network,” says Blackjet’s CEO and CCO Robert Galletta.

Spider’s current focus is on Gateway’s B2B communications with veterinary clinics across the continent, ranging in size from smaller, independent operators and larger scale pet healthcare providers.

Gateway Services has more than 120 locations across Canada and the U.S.
