Hill & Knowlton is Google Canada’s new AOR for public relations

Hill & Knowlton (H&K) is now Google Canada’s public relations agency of record. H&K will provide consumer, B2B and corporate communications support for Google and YouTube across Canada.

Blackjet borrows from dating apps to launch its own

To “spark new relationships and make meaningful client connections,” brand and business consultancy Blackjet has developed and launched its own dating site.

The visual language, verbiage (“creative lost its spark?”) and interface of the site heavily borrows from typical dating app tropes, including “swipe right” navigation.

“Looking for new business is a lot like dating,” says Blacketjet’s CEO and CCO Rob Galletta. “On both sides of the equation, potential partners are looking for the right match. And nothing happens if you don’t put yourself out there.”

Pilot PMR launches subscription-based on demand solution

Brand strategist and design shop Pilot PMR is launching Propeller, a subscription-based, on-demand design solution offering design production services.

Pilot PMR creative director David Hamilton explains that the service offers clients an in-house design team without incurring additional overhead. Propeller clients will be able to quickly onboard by selecting a plan and a subscription term that aligns with their needs, with a typical Propeller team to include creative director, project manager and one or more designers depending on the assignment.

Propeller subscriptions cover creative outputs such as ads, email campaigns, landing pages, social media assets, illustrations, presentations and print collateral.
