iCapital names CMO
Global fintech platform iCapital has named Magdalena Pandiloska as its chief marketing officer.
With more than two decades of global marketing leadership, she joins iCapital from Microsoft Canada where she also held the title of chief marketing officer.
As CMO, Pandiloska will oversee iCapital’s worldwide marketing and communications, including branding, advertising, content, digital strategy, events, market intelligence and marketing operations. She joins the firm’s management committee reporting to iCapital’s chairman and CEO Lawrence Calcano.
Prior to joining Microsoft Canada, Pandiloska was a B2B Martech Council Member with the Canadian Marketing Association, and served as eCommerce and digital marketing lead for Dyson Canada. She’s managed P&L, online sales and consumer marketing campaigns.
Volvo taps former Toyota retail marketer to lead its communications
Volvo Car Canada has appointed Jennifer Okoeguale to lead its communications in the market, based out of the company’s Richmond Hill, Ontario headquarters.
In her role, Okoeguale will be responsible for Canadian media relations, supporting product launch initiatives, brand storytelling, national press fleet and internal communications.
She most recently served as a regional marketing manager within retail marketing at Toyota Canada, where she also held roles in internal communications, external affairs and corporate communications.
Westin Harbour Castle names new director of sales and marketing
Hughena Walsh is starting a new position as director of sales and marketing at The Westin Harbour Castle, Toronto. Walsh is a former regional director of sales and marketing, Toronto Marriott City Centre and Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel & Conference Centre, and is a nearly ten-year veteran director of sales and marketing at Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel & Conference Center.
Pharma company Kyowa Kirin makes a marketing department promotion
Karen Johnson is starting a new position as senior director of marketing, Canada at specialty pharma company, Kyowa Kirin Canada. Johnson was formerly the director of marketing and head of the Canadian commercialization of rare disease products for Kyowa Kirin.
She is a veteran of more than two decades of Bayer, where she was responsible for both the short- and long-term strategic and operational management of Xarelto sales and marketing in the United Kingdom.
