Cisco names new head of Canadian marketing

Jennifer Rideout is starting a new role leading Canada marketing at Cisco.

Rideout most recently lead the Canada partner marketing team and also worked as Cisco’s global co-lead for the tech company’s LGBTQ+ employee resource group, co-driving the engagement, awareness, development and allyship strategies for the LGBTQ+ community within Cisco.

Rideout’s tenure with Cisco includes such roles as partner, marketing leader, and commercial segment and executive engagements marketing manager in Canada, leading the marketing and sales impact strategy for Cisco’s commercial segment and CxO customer engagements.

Prior to joining Cisco, Rideout was a senior consultant and social media strategist at StrategicAmpersand, working with clients in the IT industry to provide communications, social and media relations support.

Iris Software names senior marketer

Mirissa Kampf is starting a new position as senior director of marketing, brand strategy at global IT solution, Iris Software Group.

Kampf is a former senior director of global integrated marketing and communications for the online learning platform, D2L, overseeing global marketing teams in the Americas, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia and New Zealand.

Kampf is an ex-partner with the Calgary-based experiential and brand immersion marketing shop Woolf + Wallace, and a former consumer behaviour lecturer at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT).

Arterra makes senior marketing promotion

Arterra Wines Canada has promoted Amanda Maracle to the position of senior manager of marketing insights and performance analytics.

In this new role, Maracle will lead the development and application of the winery’s marketing analytics program, focusing on maximizing the impact of marketing activities and supporting the brand’s commercial strategies and business priorities through the lens of the consumer.

Before joining Arterra, Maracle was director of research and insights for programmatic advertiser Hotspex.

SJC names new senior marketer

Yanny Sreng has started a new role at SJC as director of lifecycle marketing and retention. There, she will be collaborating with Canadian brands like Hello! Canada, Chatelaine, Toronto Life, Fashion and Macleans.

Sreng is a former manager, Air Miles client services, with LoyaltyOne. She is a former associate loyalty customer experience manager with Canadian Tire, and a former marketing advisor with Shaw Communications.
