Elyse Boulet acquires Pigeon business from founder
Pigeon’s recently named CEO and managing partner, Elyse Boulet has acquired the business from its founder Thomas Pigeon, in partnership with investment fund, Kairos Capital.
Thomas Pigeon is stepping down after working for 46 years to grow the award-winning agency.
“In today’s fast-evolving landscape, securing this agreement and bolstering our arsenal with Kairos’ backing equips us to fine-tune our service offerings, preserve our cherished independence, and boost our growth potential, both domestically and internationally,” Boulet says.
Boulet most recently worked as the agency’s president and partner, a post she held for nearly four years. She began her career at Pigeon as the shop’s general manager, and has also had tenures with Taxi, Y&R, Publicis Canada and LG2.
Toronto and Montreal-based Pigeon was a supporting agency partner for the recent launch of Irving’s Royale diapers and last spring, Pigeon won Metro’s instore and Quebec marketing assignment.
The shop has done work for IKEA, Hershey’s Chipits, Corby’s McGuinness Mixables, MLS club, CF Montreal and the dairy brand Nutrinor.
CulturaliQ names a new managing director
Rahul Sethi is starting a new position as managing director at CulturaliQ, an advertising agency that specializes in multicultural and DEI research, strategy and marketing.
Sethi is a nine-and-a-half year veteran of insights firm, Vividata, most recently working as its VP research and development.
Evio names Langton its new PR AOR
Langton PR is Evio Beauty’s new public relations agency of record. The Toronto shop will be responsible for media and influencer relations and event planning for the clean beauty brand.
In February, Langton PR secured the AOR business of South Asian lip-care maker Ghlee.
Brill announces new partnership with multicultural ecomm company
Toronto-based PR and digital agency Brill Communications has struck a new partnership with multinational e-commerce company BYOGO and two of its lifestyle brands. Beginning immediately, Brill Communications will represent both pet care brand, Voocoo and Smartmi, which offers portable humidifiers and air filters. Brill will lead media relations, influencer outreach and new product launches.
Brill Communications will introduce both brands to the Canadian and U.S. markets.
Global network of boutique PR firms adds Toronto member
PR Boutiques International (PRBI), a global network of founder-led boutique public relations firms, has added Toronto-based The Edit PR to its membership.
The Edit PR’s client roster includes Habitat for Humanity Canada and the Primaris-managed Conestoga Mall in Waterloo.
With the addition of The Edit PR, PRBI now adds Canada to the list of 15 countries represented in its organization.
