Love & Nudes, McCann pick up 2024 SIA Grand Prix for “Stage Zero Collection”

Love & Nudes took home the top prize at this year’s Shopper Innovation + Activation Awards on Monday.

The brand’s “Stage Zero Collection” ad campaign, created by McCann, won the 2024 SIA Grand Prix award. The campaign also picked up three Golds in the categories of “Acting on insights,” “Overcoming challenge” and “Small budget, big impact.” The Stage Zero Collection is a campaign for the first breast cancer screening bras for Black women.

Sephora was another multi-Gold winner, picking up three such honours for its “Sephora Illumination” campaign from Zulu Alpha Kilo. The brand won Golds for Data, Experiential and Program design. Another Zulu Alpha Kilo campaign also picked up a Gold with Pizza Pizza’s “Canada Is Locking In!” creative being recognized for “Awareness & trial breakthrough.”

Rethink was the most highly awarded agency at this year’s event, picking up seven Golds, led by multiple wins for La Maison grise de Montréal’s “Fear Windows” campaign in the “Seasonal & event success” and “Small budget, big impact” categories. 

Rethink also won for Kraft Heinz’s “Heinz Ketchup & Seemingly Ranch,” and YWCA Metro Vancouver’s “Concussion Stories” campaigns, which each took Gold in the PR category. Kraft Heinz also won Gold for its work with Rethink on the “Just Date a Farmer” campaign in the Partnering category. Rethink was also behind Nestle’s Gold-winning “KitKat Ramadan Iftar Bar” campaign, which won in the Targeting category, and Scotiabank’s “The Hockey Jersey” campaign that won in the Sponsorship category.

The other Gold winners this year included KFC for its “Fry Funeral” campaign from Courage, which won for “360 Integration” and “Brand new!,” Adidas for “Runner 321” from FCB in the CSR category, Tushy’s “Asshole Activists” campaign from Citizen Relations for “Original idea,” Grupo Bimbo for “The Greatest Guide” from Performance Art and Vector B in the “Tech savvy” category, and St. Bonaventure’s College for the “What Did You Learn Today?” campaign from Target in the ROI category.

Selected by a jury of industry experts, the Shopper Innovation + Activation Awards recognize innovative and collaborative achievements across shopper marketing, retail, brand activation and experiential. This year’s awards were given out in Toronto on Monday, during this year’s Connected Commerce Forum.
