Canadian shortlist jurors named for Cannes Lions

The Canadian Cannes Lions shortlist jurors for this year’s competition were announced on Thursday, less than two months ahead of the festival.

The shortlist jury conducts the first round of judging virtually in advance of the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. The shortlist jurors were announced by the Globe and Mail, Canada’s official representative for the festival.

The 2024 Canadian shortlist jurors are:

Design: Ryan Crouchman, partner, VP, executive creative director of design, LG2
Outdoor: Steve Persico, chief creative officer, Leo Burnett
PR: Jenn Duggan, president, Ontario and West, Canada, Citizen Relations
Social & Influencer:Glen D’Souza, head of creative, Forsman & Bodenfors Canada

The Globe and Mail annually submits a juror nomination list comprised of Canada’s industry leaders, in consultation with the Canadian Cannes Advisory Board, with Cannes Lions making the final selection. Juries are selected to ensure global representation while balancing agencies, networks, holding companies, independents, genders and diversity.

The five-day International Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity will run from June 17 to 21, 2024. Strategy also supports the Canadian Cannes Program as a partner, along with the Association of Canadian Advertisers (ACA) and the Canadian Media Directors’ Council (CMDC).
