Industry Moves: Jenny Bird adds senior marketer to its C-Suite

Jenny Bird names chief brand officer

Laura Carinci has been appointed chief brand officer for jewelry brand Jenny Bird.

She formerly worked as the company’s vice president of brand marketing and ecommerce, a position she held for two-and-a-half years.

Brand side, Carinci has worked at Knixwear and H&M Canada, and agency side she’s been an account director with BT/A, creating national offers and strategic partnerships with brands such as BMW, Fairmont, Guerlain, Jaguar/Land Rover and Louis Vuitton.

Jenny Bird also appointed Priti Kapoor to chief operating officer, earlier this year.

The fashion jewelry designer, which was founded in 2008, is sold in more than 500 boutiques worldwide, from Indigo to British department store chain Harvey Nichols, as well as direct to consumer.

Alana D’Souza is starting a new position as marketing director of customer engagement, hospital at generic pharmaceuticals manufacturer Sandoz Canada.

She formerly worked as respiratory syncytial virus brand manager for Pfizer, and prior to that, she was a six-year veteran of Novartis as patient support program lead.

World Vision Canada names director of marketing partnerships

Kyla Findlay is starting a new position as director of marketing partnerships at World Vision Canada.

The two-year veteran formerly worked as the non-profit’s manager of sports partnerships, and as manager of entertainment partnerships.

Storck adds brand manager

starting a new role as assistant brand manager at Werther’s Original and Merci maker, Storck Canada.
Prior to joining the Berlin-based confectionery and chocolate CPG, was Newell Brands’ associate manager of customer strategy and planning, Amazon, commercializing sales and marketing programs within the online retailer and identifying channel-specific business building opportunities.
