Industry Moves: Saputo to transition to new CEO this summer

Carl Colizza to take over as Saputo CEO

Carl Colizza, Saputo’s current president and COO for North America, who has been with the CPG since 1998, will take over the company’s top job as CEO this summer.

The Montreal dairy giant says its president and CEO Lino Saputo will transition to the role of executive chair of the board, taking effect in August.

Colizza has held key leadership positions in engineering, operations, business development and strategy. He was appointed president and COO of the dairy division (Canada) in 2015 before taking on the role of North American president and COO in 2019.

Saputo brands include its eponymous offerings, as well as Armstrong cheese, Neilson milk, Baileys coffee creamers and plant-based Vitalite.

Anomaly names new managing director

Anomaly has promoted Matt Holton to managing director. Formerly the head of account management, Holton has had a 12-year tenure with the agency.

Prior to joining the shop, Holton was manager of business, with Grip, working on accounts such as Budweiser and Michelob Ultra.

Jackman makes three spring promotions

Charlie Lindsay is starting a new position as principal of business strategy at Jackman. Lindsay, a six-year Jackman veteran, previously worked in management consulting.

Liam Gray, is now senior consultant, strategy. Prior to his new role, Gray was Jackman’s consultant, strategy. Before joining the Toronto shop, he worked as associate consultant with Bond Brand Loyalty.

In March, Jackman promoted Laureen Gordon to director of research and insights. She formerly worked as senior consultant of research and insights. She previously held a similar role at Holt Renfrew.
