Jamieson Wellness names new director

is starting a new position as director, Jamieson Brand, Canada for Jamieson Wellness.

Connolly most recently worked as senior brand manager for the natural health and vitamin company. She rejoined the company in 2020, after working there early in her career, in 2008.

She previously spent four years working with OLG, handling duties for its Lotto 6/49 lottery.

Pigeon promotes strategy director

Rebecca Lyttle has been promoted to strategy director at Pigeon Brands. She began working for the agency last April as a senior strategist.

Prior to joining Pigeon, she held the same role with the The&Partnership. Brand side, at Corby, Lyttle was responsible for brand management of craft whiskeys like Lot No. 40, Pike Creek, Gooderham & Worts, and Aberlour.

Fairgrounds has new head marketer

GTA- and Vancouver-based racket sports club Fairgrounds has named Abby Yew its VP of marketing and community.

Yew formerly worked as head of marketing for the social storytelling platform, Wattpad. Prior to serving in that role, Yew was Wattpad’s marketing director of IP, where she established the intellectual property marketing vision and holistic strategy to grow audiences and fandoms for Wattpad IP and story titles.

Yew is also a former partner and strategic planning director for Deloitte’s Isaac Reputation Group, and was a digital planning director with Grip.

Blossom Social names brand partnership lead

Social investing app, Blossom, has named ex-Wattpad director of brand partnerships Tim Johnson, to lead its brand partnership business.

Blossom, which boasts more than 100,000 subscribers, helps brands connect with young investor audiences. The app is both a forum for discussions about stocks, ETFs and other personal finance issues, as well as an investment tracker.

Porta president says “ciao”

Porta founding partner, president and ex-GM, Jason Cassidy is “transitioning off the business.”

Porta, the flash-frozen Italian brand was launched three years ago, and just completed its 40,000 square foot production facility in Toronto. According to Cassidy, the product will soon be available in more than 1,000 grocery stores across more than 45 U.S. States.

Cassidy is a former Yum! head of marketing, working for KFC and Pizza Hut.
