Gut opens Madrid office
Gut is opening its second office in Europe, in Spain’s capital.
The agency, which counts among its client roster brands like Tim Hortons and GoodLife Fitness is “officially looking for gutsy talent and brave clients” in Madrid.
Gut already operates offices in Miami, Toronto, Buenos Aires, São Paulo, Mexico City, Los Angeles and Amsterdam.
In April, the Miami-based agency’s chief strategy officer, Dino Demopoulos announced his departure, after he had joined the budding network to set up the agency in Canada.
In November, Argentina-based software giant Globant, purchased a majority stake in Gut, citing the close link between tech and creativity.
Acosta buys Crossmark and Product Connections
Global integrated CPG sales and marketing services provider Acosta has purchased Crossmark and Product Connections from Dallas-based WIS International.
Florida’s Acosta, whose assets include integrated agency Mosaic, is buying Crossmark’s headquarter sales agency and retail solutions businesses, and also Product Connections, a marketing services business.
Acosta Group CEO Brian Wynne says the acquisition will strengthen its ability to provide valuable services for customers in an industry “facing persistent macroeconomic challenges, changing consumer behaviors, and further CPG and retailer consolidation.”
Veritas, Luxine and Meat & Produce workers eligible for caregiver top-up
PR shop Veritas, its influencer content studio Meat & Produce, and recently purchased agency Luxine, are offering a new caregiving top-up for employees who take time away from work to care for loved ones that are critically ill, injured or require end-of-life care.
Effective immediately, eligible employees who take caregiving leave will be entitled to a top-up payment, to a maximum annualized salary of $100,000. Employees that tenure of more than two, but less than eight years, are entitled to five weeks top-up; those who have more than eight years but less than 12, can receive 10 weeks, and those employees with more than 12 years are entitled to up to 15 weeks of top-up.
Last summer, Veritas, DonerNorth and Meat & Produce introduced new parental benefits, with employees at the agencies eligible for up to 12 months of full top-up on their salary, based on tenure.
