Manifesto Sports & Entertainment, a Canadian independent athlete marketing management company, has revealed a major move for the agency, bringing Brian Drukarsh in as partner and co-president.
Drukarsh will be expected to support Manifesto’s growth of talent and marketing representation with entertainment and event properties. Drukarsh previously worked as founder and president of The Yonder Agency, as agency partner for the Toronto International Film Festival, VP of business development for PR firm Bicom, and director of business development for Community Agency.
He’s worked in sports and entertainment, media, marketing, events and corporate partnerships, taking on branded content, promotional and integrated marketing campaigns with sports organizations like the National Hockey League, Major League Baseball, Canadian Football League and the Special Olympics, while also recently supporting Formula 1 and FIFA events.
Drukarsh will work as co-president of the company with Dan Kuzmarov, who’s worked as Manifesto’s partner and co-owner since 2016.
Manifesto’s roster of athlete clients include Canadian hockey legends Hayley Wickenheiser and Mark Messier, Toronto Blue Jays star Vladimir Guerrero Jr., NHL players Carey Price and Mitch Marner, and Olympians like curler Brad Gushue, snowboarder Mark McMorris and gymnast Rosie MacLennan.
Manifesto has also served as sponsorship sales agency on such properties as Hayley Wickenheiser’s Canadian Tire Female World Hockey Festival, Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir’s Rock the Rink Tour, and the Marner Assist Foundation.
As Drukarsh joins the agency, Manifesto founder and former president Russell Reimer is departing to launch a consultancy focused on sports tourism strategy, and major event bid development.
“I’m incredibly proud of the work that Manifesto has done over the past 12 years and with my departure, I know that Dan and Brian will expand Manifesto’s client offerings and continue to elevate its market position,” Reimer said in a press release announcing the move.
