Cossette West welcomes back Pierre Chan
Cossette West has appointed Pierre Chan as the new group creative director.
Prior to joining the agency, Chan served as the creative director for Canucks Sports & Entertainment (CSE), where he played a pivotal role in shaping the creative direction of the Vancouver Canucks, Abbotsford Canucks, Vancouver Warriors and Rogers Arena.
Before his tenure with CSE, he worked as executive creative director at Point Blank and creative director at One Twenty Three West. During that time, he helped lead campaigns for clients like Okanagan Spring Brewery, CAA, Destination BC, Pabst Blue Ribbon, David Suzuki Foundation and BCLC.
He returns to Cossette after having previously been with the agency from 2013 to 2019.
Cossette West recently announced the appointment of Driscoll Reid, formerly a senior creative at Airbnb, as chief creative officer in April. Together, Chan and Driscoll will lead the creative team, bolstering the agency’s creative authority and driving innovation across all client accounts.
Simon & Schuster Canada names a senior marketer
Daniel French will join Simon & Schuster Canada as VP of marketing and communications, reporting directly to president and publisher Nicole Winstanley.
French joins Simon & Schuster Canada from Penguin Random House Canada, where he was associate director of marketing and publicity, overseeing marketing and publicity strategy for Penguin Canada and the marketing and publicity campaigns for U.S.-originated titles. He also managed day-to-day responsibilities of a publicity and marketing coordinator.
Agency-side, French worked as a publicist with Touchwood PR.
Club Med top marketer is traveling on
Amélie Brouhard is moving on from Club Med where she held the role of VP marketing North America and USA sales for nearly three-and-a-half years.
Brouhard is relocating to Toronto from Miami, after 13 years with the travel brand. Prior to that, she served as VP managing director, Canada, overseeing Canadian and Mexican markets.
She also held the post of marketing and communications director, Canada.
Craft promotes account director
Brontë Wright has been promoted to account director at Craft Public Relations. A five-and-half-year Craft vet, Wright is formerly the PR agency’s senior account manager.
