Paramount promotes a senior marketer

Hakim Garuba is starting a new position as senior director of growth marketing, (Canada, UK and Latin America) for the Pluto TV streaming business at Paramount.

Garuba, who is based in Toronto, formerly worked as Paramount’s senior director of user acquisition, engagement and growth.

In that post, he built and led a team in charge of performance marketing, partnership marketing, content merchandising, customer lifecycle and retention marketing.

Tennis Canada serves up senior promotion

Edward Lee is starting a new position as director of growth marketing and content at Tennis Canada. Formerly the brand’s manager of lifecycle marketing, Lee joined the organization in fall 2022.

Prior to Tennis Canada, Lee worked for Goose Digital and 80 Proof Digital, working on a client roster that included Postmedia and The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.

Tim Hortons toasts new regional marketing manager, adds senior marketer

Samantha Champagne is starting a new position as regional marketing manager at Tim Hortons for the Atlantic Canada region. She previously held the role of national marketing manager for Canadian telco, Eastlink for more than four years.

Champagne previously worked as regional marketing manager for Mary Brown’s Chicken.

The QSR also hired Amy Delva as senior brand manager for CPG, hot beverages. Delva recently was senior marketing manager of innovation and new brands for Dole Packaged Goods Canada.

Delva also held marketing roles with HelloFresh’s Chefs Plate, and Johnson & Johnson.

Sephora lands Jamieson/Labatt vet

Oxana Jeltova has joined Sephora as the beauty brand’s new senior manager of marketing strategy and insights.

Prior to joining Sephora, Jeltova held insights manager roles for both Jamieson Wellness and Labatt Breweries. She also worked as a market research manager for global projects at McCain Foods, and as a research manager for Shoppers Drug Mart.

Bimbo staffs up its private label marketing

Laura Williams is the new marketing manager for Bimbo Private Label.

She comes to the role from the CPG world – FGF Brands and Weston Foods – where she held product lifecycle management and CX coordination duties for the likes of Loblaw and other food retailers.
