Astound Group names new director
Katie Piccott is the new senior director of client partnerships for experiential shop, Astound Group.
She most recently worked as senior director of strategy partnerships and growth for Smith+Mason, and formerly worked as director of new business development for 6Degrees. She also spent more than a decade as senior account manager with Mosaic, working on brands such as Nestlé Nescafé, Proctor & Gamble and General Mills.
Last fall, Astound Group added VP of strategy and ideation, Mark Scattalon to the fold.
DDB Canada makes senior promotions
DDB Canada has promoted Martha Jamieson (left) as managing director and Eva Polis (right) as executive creative director.
Jamieson is a nearly 30-year veteran of the or the Omnicom Group-owned shop, while Polis started her career as a writer with Palmer Jarvis (now DDB Canada) and was recently the agency’s VP creative director.
In their respective roles, the duo has been tasked with driving growth for the agency and inspiring talent to deliver solutions that move people, brands and culture.

Heads+Tales adds a senior leader
James Grant has joined integrated marketer Heads+Tales as EVP of integrated services.
Grant is a communications agency executive who has spent his career at large established agencies and disruptive communications start-ups in senior leadership, business development, operations and client service roles. Most recently, he was VP brand and program director at Publicis leading large U.S.-based accounts. Prior to that, he was managing director at OneMethod and director of operations for Bensimon Byrne.
Heads+Tales’ client roster includes Boston Pizza, GreenShield and Endy.
Navigator adds principal to Toronto office
Lianne George is joining PR, crisis management, lobbying and polling company Navigator as principal.
George is the founder of George & Co, working on a client roster that included LCBO and the Greater Toronto Airport Authority (GTAA). She was also recently head of brand narrative for Rethink, creating strategy-driven PR and content solutions for Scotiabank, A&W and Destination Canada.
George was the chief brand officer for BalmLabs, and developed brand concept, identity, positioning and integrated marketing strategy for a line of direct-to-consumer CBD-infused women’s skincare. George was also formerly director of lifestyle content for Rogers Publishing, and editor-in-chief of Chatelaine.
