Montreal-based strategy and tech firm Cloudraker is parting ways from its partnership with retail performance company Altavia.
The two companies have collaborated for seven years. The move comes as Cloudraker founder and chairman Thane Calder and Pascal Hébert have bought back the agency after selling a majority stake in the company to Altavia in 2017.
“We are pumped to regain our freedom and to tackle super interesting digital missions with our crews in Montreal and Toronto,” Calder told strategy about the move.
Hébert, who’s served as Cloudraker’s president since 2018, now takes on the role of the company’s CEO.
Cloudraker says it will take a renewed focus towards building and scaling digital products for global clients in industries like health care, biopharma, finance and the public sector. Retail marketing leader Altavia, meanwhile, is set to accelerate its North American growth.
“Our commitment to our retail clients remains steadfast, and we will continue to offer top-tier services in campaign creation and production, digital activations and marketing commodity management,” says Altavia Group CEO Sydney Palti.
