Bensimon Byrne promotes Laura Robinson to managing director

Bensimon Byrne has appointed a new managing director, promoting Laura Robinson to the role.

The agency credits Robinson for her work on breakthrough creative with the Destination Toronto, Saintly Wine and specialty hospital Casey House. Robinson first joined the agency in 2017, and has worked in a variety of roles since then, most recently in the role of VP of client services.

As managing director, Robinson will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the agency’s operations across creative, strategy and media, including business development and planning. She’ll also work with the Tadiem executive leadership team to diversify Bensimon Byrne’s portfolio of offerings and find new opportunities for growth.

With Bensimon Byrne being the founding agency within the Tadiem framework of agencies, the promotion also moves Robinson into Tadiem’s executive leadership team.

Having worked firsthand with clients to hear about what they’re looking for from agencies, Robinson says the new role will allow her to broaden the scope of her work with clients and take on more oversight of brand visions.

“We’ve been growing steadily over the last three years, but I think future growth is going to come from effective connections,” Robinson says, adding that strong connections, encouraging “fearless thinking,” and leveraging successful marketing lenses and strategies across different categories, will be key to succeeding on her new mandate.

“There’s this ability because of the bench strength and tenure at Bensimon Byrne, but then the access to our other divisions within Tadiem as well, that no idea is impossible.”
